Loyalty, quality, respect: these values must be rooted at the core of a company for its employees to strive for continual improvement.
I n 2006, Safilo Group adopted a code of e thics, gathering in one document the principles of loyalty, integrity, transparency and correct behaviour and business relations, both within the company and with third parties.
The principles contained in the c ode of e thics are :
- to act in observance of the law and regulations in all countries where Safilo operates
- to treat clients, shareholders, employees, suppliers, the surrounding community and its institutions as well as any business-related third party honestly , correctly , impartially and without prejudice
- to compete fairly on the market
- to protect the health and safety of employees
- to monitor and, where necessary , to reduce potentially harmful effects of company activities on the environment
- to maintain the confidentiality of information concerning the Group, its know-how, employees, clients and suppliers
- to operate in accordance with the principle that each action or transaction must be correctly registered and authoris ed and must be verifiable, legal, coherent and consistent
- to avoid any conflicts of interest with the Group or to declare them beforehand
- to use Group intellectual property and materials with respect for their intended purpose and in such a way as to promote their preservation and good working order
