London, July 8, 2014 - Carrera and Jimmy Choo are pleased to announce the launch of an exclusive capsule collection of Carrera by Jimmy Choo sunglasses for Men, following the success of the Carrera by Jimmy Choo Women’s capsule collection of sunglasses launched last year. This marks Jimmy Choo’s first foray into the Men’s eyewear category expanding their existing offering of Men’s shoes, bags and small leather goods.

The collection will blend the eyewear expertise and passionate attitude of Carrera with the innate confidence, effortless attitude and overtly masculine style expressed by the Jimmy Choo man in a range of unique and eye catching styles featuring signatures of the Jimmy Choo Men’s collection.

Carrera’s latest best-seller, the Carrera 6000, with its distinctive shaped temples, will be presented in three finishes, combining high performance in a fashion forward aesthetic. The extraordinary work in Optyl material allows the use of silks which are injected into the sunglasses, featuring contrasting colors, camouflage prints with hidden burlesque silhouettes, sophisticated details and a rebellious sense of humor.

The Carrera by Jimmy Choo sunglasses capsule collection will also be featured in the new Jimmy Choo Autumn Winter 2014 Men’s Campaign starring British Actor Kit Harington.

This model combines a shiny croc pattern on a black mat front and temples. The inside of the temples feature the signature Jimmy Choo camouflage print with hidden burlesque silhouettes. The luxurious mirrored lenses feature an unexpected ghost effect on the right lens, visible only when misted up highlighting a hidden burlesque silhouette. A silver logo on the outer temple completes look.

This model features a contrasting mat black front with the signature Jimmy Choo camouflage printed silk with hidden burlesque silhouettes on the temples. A silver logo and brown lenses complete the style.

This model features the signature Jimmy Choo camouflage print with hidden burlesque silhouettes in sand print silk on the front and the internal temples contrasted with brown mat external temples. A golden logo and grey lenses complete the style.

The Carrera by Jimmy Choo men’s collection will be available from September 1st at Jimmy Choo boutiques worldwide and exclusively online at

Carrera once again shakes up the world of fashion, celebrating the iconic glasses of its latest eyewear collections with glamorous re-editions of the brand’s models that made history: the legendary Champion and Carrera 6000 sunglasses are now presented in an exciting new metal version with a pure design. 
The unstoppable success of the brand’s iconic aviator model just keeps going: these sunglasses, which have been showcased in countless ways – featuring a variety of materials, colors and detailing – over the past seasons, are now presented with ultra-flat, slim profiles for Spring/Summer 2014. The new Carrera Champion sunglasses are an inspired blend of metal and stainless steel, for an ultra-lightweight feel and utmost comfort. Satin finishes and mirrored lenses complete the dynamic look, lending a lively, timeless flair to the new model, available in shades of brown with gray lenses, black with black lenses, blue with blue lenses, red with orange lenses. 

The Carrera 6000 sunglasses, with their distinctive wavy temples and unmistakable rectangular front that is perfect for any face shape, are reinterpreted in a new, high-tech version featuring an avant-garde design and a stainless steel frame, for an ultra-lightweight feel. A bright, vibrant color palette, ideal for the warm summer months: coral with red or gray lenses, turquoise with khaki lenses, ruthenium with copper lenses, black with black lenses, white with pink lenses, blue with blue or multicolored lenses.


The new Spring/Summer 2014 Carrera eyewear collection showcases sunglasses and optical frames that reflect the brand’s racing attitude. Carrera has drawn inspiration from its rich heritage in fashion and sports to create an exclusive collection with a strong personality, fine detailing and unique styles, perfectly embodying the brand’s key design principles.

CARRERA 84/S – Special Edition
These pilot-shaped unisex acetate sunglasses are a new edition of an iconic model that comes straight from the brand’s archives. The frame owes its worldwide fame to “Downhill Racer”, a 1969 movie starring a young Robert Redford wearing these celebrated sunglasses.
The tri-layer acetate frame comes in color combos that reflect the brand’s passion for the world of sports: black-white-gray, blue-ivory-red and havana.

This unisex model features an interplay of materials between the Optyl front and the ultra-slim metal temples, as well as fine, sophisticated details that are part of the brand’s stylistic heritage.
With their aviator shape, the double bridge with a metal insert on the upper front profile and the engraved Carrera logo, these sunglasses are a contemporary take on the brand’s original “Captain” sunglasses, a model that made history. They are available in a classic color palette of black-ruthenium, Havana-gold, opal-black and gray-black.

This latest Carrera Craze unisex model has an attractive mix of contrasting materials, shapes and colors that are inspired by the brand’s original “Sunjet” collection.
