A FLUORESCENT PERSONALITY FOR THE NEW MARC BY MARC JACOBS EYEWEAR FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2013

The new Marc by Marc Jacobs eyewear proposals for spring/summer 2013 find their roots in the urban street style revisited with ultra-colorful fluorescent notes.
The new sunglasses and optical frames draw inspiration from the brand’s latest handbag and accessories collection, featuring edgy color contrasts and a stunning interplay between the frame’s transparent materials and the front and temple core’s fluorescent touches of color.

SUNGLASSES

The men’s and women’s square-shaped sunglasses have a forthright personality, reflecting Marc by Marc Jacobs eyewear collection’s iconic style and brightening up the crystal frames with edgy touches of color in shades of green, orange, cornflower blue, red, pink and yellow, perfectly combined with tinted or mirrored lenses.
These two 80s-inspired acetate models are a true statement of the hip-hop chic style: these must-have proposals are simply irresistible (mod. MMJ 360/S and MMJ 361/S).

OPTICAL FRAMES

The rectangular-shaped optical frames have a contemporary flair and also feature crystal details combined with lively fluorescent nuances including orange, green, blue, pink, purple and red (mod. MMJ 561 and MMJ 562).


The new sunglasses and optical frames will be available at Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques, high-end opticians and quality department stores starting January 2013.

The new Marc by Marc Jacobs eyewear collection for Spring/Summer 2013 catches the eye with its unconventional chic personality featuring details in rubber and fluo colours: sporty inspirations combined with a new material create a super fresh style.

SUNGLASSES

The new shapes--round-shaped for women’s and flat-top for men’s-- have an '80s-inspired feel highlighted by soft-touch rubber details and edgy colour contrasts on the front and temples: dark gray with fluorescent green, black with matte cornflower blue, purple with aqua green, navy blue with orange, gray with pink.
Mirrored lenses with flashes of colour in shades of green, khaki, purple and silver highlight the new glamorous spirit of this collection.

OPTICAL FRAMES

The rectangular-shaped unisex optical frames feature a young, contemporary style and play with stunning colour combinations and rubber details on the temples: Havana with matte cornflower blue, gloss black with matte gray, blue with orange, dark gray with fluorescent green, as well as total black.

The new sunglasses (mod. MMJ 356/S and mod. MMJ 357/S) and optical frames (mod. MMJ 565 and MMJ 566) will be available at Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques, high-end opticians and quality department stores from January 2013.

For Spring/Summer 2013 the new Marc by Marc Jacobs “Dots & Stripes” sunglasses play with two of the brand’s most celebrated icons: polka dots and stripes. These trendsetting motifs reflect an easy, glamorous style that is simply irresistible.

Both the new square and round-shaped styles feature temples embellished with a unique eye-catching pattern combining Marc by Marc Jacobs’ iconic dots and stripes giving an unexpected and playful appeal.

The color palette mixes the transparent tones on the front with the defined stripes and dots highlighting the profiles with a unique interplay of colours, in line with the palette of Marc by Marc Jacobs’ ready-to-wear collection: dark gray with cream/black stripes and white dots, dark blue with blue/purple stripes and light blue dots, light pink with brown/beige stripes and orange dots, red with fuchsia/beige stripes and pink dots, green with blue/navy stripes and green dots, milk with cream/blue stripes and white dots, and many more.

The new “Dots & Stripes” sunglasses (mod. MMJ 358/S and MMJ 359/S) will be available at Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques, high-end opticians and quality department stores from January 2013.
