Max Mara

Max Mara expresses womanliness and true timeless elegance: it is characterised by high quality materials, modern design, and a tailored style.

In the Max Mara products we find modernity and tradition mixed together, as well as elegance and simplicity. The first Max Mara optical frames collection was launched in 1998, with the aim of transmitting that image of elegance and sophistication that is inspired by the other lines and accessories branded Max Mara.

Max Mara is a brand that targets the modern woman, aged between 30 and 50, who is financially independent, searching for elegant and sophisticated eyewear, characterised by classical details that are not showy. The products are sold all over the world, particularly in the European and Far East markets.

Mod. MM CLASSY I
With a lightweight feel and slim profiles, these skilfully crafted sunglasses exquisitely combine acetate with metal, reinterpreted as a thin graphic line framing the lenses and running along the temples. The color palette features soft, subtle hues underlining these glasses’ fine proportions.

Mod. MM THICKNESS and MM 1214
These acetate sunglasses and this optical frame look to the past with their 70s-inspired cat-eye silhouette and skillfully crafted ultra-lightweight volumes, ensuring utmost comfort. These models, characterized by the Max Mara metal logo on the initial part of the temples, come in warm nuances of havana as well as classic shades of black.

Mod. MM 1222
This new optical frame perfectly reflects the metropolitan-chic allure of the House’s new fashion show sunglasses, hot off the Fall/Winter 2014/2015 catwalk: the new model flaunts an 80s-inspired acetate/metal frame and a lightweight feel. Max Mara presents the new sunglasses that hit the catwalk at the Fall/Winter 2014/2015 fashion show, an inspired blend of neo-minimalist inspirations and metropolitan style. The new eyewear model evokes Anglo-Scottish elegance, reinterpreted with a contemporary, urban flair, representing a perfect combination of masculine and feminine, grunge and glamour, functionality and luxury, exquisitely reflecting the brand’s “utility luxe” ethos.

The squared acetate/metal frame with softly rounded edges and smooth profiles reflects the understated elegance of the Max Mara woman. A fine interplay of transparencies lends an ultra-lightweight feel to the new sunglasses, highlighted by clean, essential lines, recalling the minimalist design of the brand’s new accessories.

Subtle transparencies and opal hues underline the silhouette’s pure profiles, delicately revealing its construction details, celebrated as structural yet decorative elements. Soft British-inspired nuances, reflecting the color palette of the House’s ready-to-wear collection, are perfectly matched with the dazzling gloss effect of the gold metal frame: orange, moss green, honey, grey and havana, with plain or shaded brown or grey lenses.

The new Max Mara sunglasses (style MM C-MASTER) will be available at Max Mara boutiques and high-end opticians worldwide starting Fall 2014.

The new eyewear models feature a sophisticated butterfly silhouette that conveys femininity and elegance, emphasized by precious, contemporary materials. The temples are externally covered in backstitched leather, a signature detail that is present on Max Mara’s legendary coats and highlights the House’s impeccable quality. The inside of the temples features a comfortable soft-to-the-touch rubber material.

The new capsule collection contains the color palette of Max Mara’s accessory collection. The sunglasses come in shades of brown with burgundy leather and rubber temples, black with khaki leather and rubber temples, camel-horn with honey leather and rubber temples and cyan blue with tobacco leather and rubber temples, perfectly combined with shaded smoky grey or brown lenses.
The optical frames are available in black with khaki leather and rubber temples, honey with tobacco leather and rubber temples, transparent blue with tobacco leather and rubber temples and red havana with brown leather and rubber temples.

Exclusive and unique, the new Max Mara sunglasses that hit the catwalk at the Spring/Summer 2014 fashion show are a blend of neo-minimalist elegance and urban spirit inspired by the Big Apple, the art and fashion capital of the world.

These oversized, softly rounded steel sunglasses with thin, smooth faces celebrate the sophisticated, understated elegance of the Max Mara woman. The new model features an ultra-lightweight feel, with slim metal temples and a trendy “tipping” effect on the edges, similar to the smooth lines of the brand’s new accessory collection.

The varnished metal frame is embellished with tone-on-tone color combinations inspired by the refined hues of the House’s ready-to-wear collection – such as nude with light gold and powder lenses, copper with gold and brown lenses, smoky grey with ruthenium and shaded grey lenses – or enlivened by intense, bright nuances – such as cornflower blue with light gold and shaded grey lenses or red with light gold and brown lenses.

The new Max Mara sunglasses (style name: MM RUNWAY) will be available at Max Mara boutiques and high-end opticians worldwide starting in January 2014.

The Max Mara collection of sunglasses and optical frames is produced and distributed by the Safilo Group.
